F-35 beckons press

Local Phoenix media representatives record Luke Air Force Base officials Aug. 1 during a press conference held in the wing headquarters building announcing the decision for the F-35A Lightning II to be at Luke. The decision culminates a nearly three-year process that included an extensive environmental impact statement that examined effects on air quality, noise, land use and socioeconomic issues.
