Tickets
Security forces issued citations for three moving and 11 nonmoving violations.
Traffic-related incidents
July 30: Security forces responded to a report of a trailer dislodged from a truck at the intersection of Eagle Street and Bong Lane. Patrols responded and conducted traffic control until the trailer was towed.
Aug. 1: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 700. There were no injuries.
Aug. 2: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the intersection of Thunderbird Street and 137th Ave. There were no injuries.
Aug. 2: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1541. There were no injuries.
Emergency responses
July 27: Security forces responded to a report of an assault in housing. Glendale police took control.
Aug. 2: Security forces responded to a report of a possible case of child abandonment. They made contact with the mother and children. The response was terminated.
Nonemergency responses
July 27: Security forces responded to a report of damage to government property at the flightline.
July 28: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property and an individual fleeing the scene at Fighter Country Avenue. One individual was charged with damage to private property.
July 28: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at Bldg. 1550.
July 29: Security forces responded to a report of an unknown individual entering a residence in housing. A search was conducted with no signs of forced entry. Balfour Beatty responded and rekeyed the residence.
July 29: Security forces responded to a report of theft of private property in housing.
July 31: Security forces and Glendale police responded to a report of an individual trespassing at Lightning Gate. One individual was issued an immediate debarment order for two years.
Aug. 1: Security forces responded to a report of a wants and warrants hit at South Gate. The individual was an Army deserter released on his own recognizance with instructions on where to report.
Aug. 2: Security forces responded to a report of theft of private property at Bldg. 492.
Alarm activations
Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.
Tip of the week
Avoid leaving animals (mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians) unattended and confined in a motor vehicle. In Arizona, this is a Class 1 misdemeanor and reasonable force may be used to open a vehicle to rescue an animal.
