Commander’s comments: “Sergeant Carpenter is a dedicated NCO and a great asset to our staff,” said Col. Larry Evans, 56th DS commander. “He’s made a tremendous impact on the DS, MDG and the fighter wing. He’s aided in almost 550 dental surgeries and performed almost 400 cleaning procedures. He volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and coaches youth basketball. He went on a tri-service humanitarian mission to Alabama where the team enabled 29,000 patient encounters. He was handpicked to lead another mission to the same location. He sets a great example to be followed.”
