Street Beat – August 24, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Aug. 10 through 16:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for ten moving and four nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Aug. 14: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 954. There were no injuries.

Aug. 15: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at South Gate. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Aug. 15: Security forces responded to a report of an unattended child at base housing. The child was reunited with the parents. Glendale police took control.

Nonemergency responses

Aug. 10: Security forces responded to a report of an animal bite in housing. The individual denied medical transport.

Aug. 10: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. Individuals were briefed on base quiet hours.

Aug. 12: Security forces responded to a report of an unsecure facility at Bldg. 485. A custodian secured the facility.

Aug. 14: Security forces and two individuals from the crisis response network responded to a report of individuals attempting to break into a residence in housing.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

To avoid being turned away at the gate, motorcyclists and passengers must wear helmets, impact resistant goggles, brightly colored or contrasting vests or jackets during the day, and upper garments with 12 square inches of reflective material at night, long-sleeved shirts and/or jackets, full fingered gloves, long trousers and footwear that covers the entire foot.
