Justice Report – August 31, 2012

The following is a list of Article 15s issued at Luke Air Force Base in July:

56th Maintenance Group

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for using spice. The member received a reduction to E-2, forfeiture of $835 pay per month for two months with half the amount suspended, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for using spice. The member received a reduction to E-2, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

• An airman first class received an Article 15 for using spice. The member received a reduction to E-2, suspended reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $745 pay per month for two months with one month suspended, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

• An airman received an Article 15 for failure to go, signing a false official statement and being absent without leave. The member received a reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $378 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Associate units

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for failure to go. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $990 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
