Thunderbolts defeat Cannon AFB 64-55

Start Smart football

Start Smart Football is a developmentally appropriate introductory flag football program for children, ages 4 to 6. Classes are 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays Oct. 9 through Nov. 13 at the youth center. Parents work one-on-one with with their children. The cost is $20 per child and includes a T-shirt. The class is limited to 15 participants. For more information, call (623) 856-7470.

Fall triathlon

The fall triathlon featuring a 400-meter swim, 12-mile bike ride and 5k run is 7 a.m. Sept. 22 at Silver Wings Pool. The cost is $20 per military person and $45 for others. Register by Sept. 14, and receive a free T-shirt. For more information, call (623) 856-9334.

Combat PT bowling

Combat PT bowling is $1 per game and 50 cents to rent shoes at Thunderbolt Lanes. For more information or to reserve a lane, call (623) 856-6529.

Bowlers wanted

World Wide Bowling

World Wide Bowling is through Oct. 31 at Thunderbolt Lanes. Youth, ages 5 to 18, can enter to win a new bowling ball and bag by bringing family and friends to bowl. There are three winners a week. For more information, go to www.usafbowltowin.com.
