Street Beat – September 7, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Aug. 24 through 30.

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 19 moving and one nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Aug. 24: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Luke Air Force Base exchange parking garage. There were no injuries.

Aug. 25: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the exchange parking garage. There were no injuries.

Aug. 28: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at South Gate Visitor Center. There were no injuries.

Aug. 29: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 339. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Aug. 27: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency in housing. The patient was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Aug. 28: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base veterinary clinic. The patient was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Aug. 29: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 586. The patient was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Aug. 25: Security forces responded to a report of an animal bite in housing. The animal’s owner was directed to take the canine to the veterinary clinic the next duty day. The patient was treated at a local medical facility and released.

Aug. 26: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. The individuals were briefed on base quiet hours.

Aug. 30: Security forces responded to a report of two unattended children in the medical clinic parking lot. The children were reunited with the parents.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to seven alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Slow down and drive safely. The speed limit entering and exiting the installation is 15 mph. Obey all posted traffic signs and wear a seatbelt.
