Street Beat – September 14, 2012

The 56th Security forces Squadron handled the following incidents Aug. 31 through Sept. 6:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for five moving and one nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Aug 31: Security forces responded to a report of an off-base vehicle accident near Falcon Dunes Golf Course. Security forces provided traffic control for the helicopter landing zone. The injured, nonmilitary-affiliated patient was transported to the hospital.

Emergency responses:

Sept. 1: Security forces responded to a medical emergency in the base clinic. The patient was transported to West Valley Medical Center.

Nonemergency responses

Aug. 31: Security forces responded to a 911 misdial at Bldg. 840. Personnel stated they were secure.

Sept. 1: Security forces responded to a 911 hang-up in base housing. Subject was briefed on proper emergency contact procedures.

Sept. 2: Security forces responded to a report of an unlawful entry of two subjects jumping the wall. Both subjects were apprehended.

Sept. 3: Security forces responded to a theft of private property at the resale lot. The incident is being investigated.

Sept. 4: Security forces responded to a wants/warrants hit at South Gate. Glendale police took control.

Sept. 4: Security forces responded to a wants/warrants hit at South Gate Visitor Center. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded and took control.

Sept. 4: Security forces responded to damage of private property at Bldg. 325. The incident is being investigated.

Sept. 5: Security forces responded to a report of theft at the commissary. The incident is being investigated.

Sept. 6: Security forces assisted Surprise police and the sheriff’s office in locating a missing nonmilitary individual. The individual was found and reunited with the family.

Sept. 6: Security forces responded to a report of a possible breaking and entering in base housing. The incident is being investigated.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to one alarm activation on base.
