Chaplain thoughts – September 21, 2012

“Hence we must be versatile, our tactics must be susceptible to change, and our commanding officers must have ingenuity and imagination.”

~ Gen. Henry “Hap” Arnold

Happy 65th Birthday U.S. Air Force! (Sept. 18, 1947). The words from General Arnold to a fledgling Air Force still ring so true today. Yes, our commanders must have that ingenuity and imagination, but all of us must possess these qualities as well. Being an Airman is not easy — a lot is demanded of us and we must be ever-willing and prepared for whatever comes our way. The Air Force has now been at war consistently for more than 21 years and there is no end in sight for the youngest of the military branches. We must have the faith to continue the good fight and pray our enemies will know defeat.

Blessings from Above …
