White Tanks Hike

The Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center will feature a 5- or 10-mile hike at White Tank Mountains 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12. Meet at the Bryant Fitness Center. Round-trip transportation, breakfast and lunch are included. Older children are welcome. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Archery camp

An archery camp for children, ages 9 to 12, will meet 9 to 10:15 a.m. and teens, ages 13 to 18, will meet 10:30 a.m. to noon is Tuesday through Oct. 12 at the youth center. Powerlifting competition

The Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center will feature a power-lifting competition at 10 a.m. Oct. 19. Sign-in is 9:30 a.m. Events include squat, deadlift and bench press in men’s and women’s categories. Register by today. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Start Smart football

Start Smart Football is a developmentally appropriate introductory flag football program for children, ages 4 to 6. Classes are 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays Oct. 9 through Nov. 13 at the youth center. Parents work one-on-one with with their children. The cost is $20 per child and includes a T-shirt. The class is limited to 15 participants. For more information, call (623) 856-7470.

Ghostly Ghoul run

The Ghostly Ghoul 5k fun run is 7 a.m. Oct. 26 in the auxiliary parking lot across from the 944th Fighter Wing headquarters on Super Sabre Street.

Aerobics

Yoga, step and sculpt, Zumba, Pilates, and spin or cycling classes are held Monday through Thursday and Saturdays in Bldg. 700. Group fitness classes are held upstairs. There are no classes Sundays and holidays. For schedule, go to www.lukeevents.com.
