Street Beat – October 5, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Sept. 21 through 27:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for five moving and one nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Sept. 24: Security forces responded to a minor vehicle accident in base housing. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Sept. 21: Security forces responded to a report of underage drinking and contributing to a minor in Bldg. 542. Three individuals were apprehended and released to their first sergeants.

Sept. 25: Security forces responded to a possible gas leak in Bldg. 1540. Security forces assisted with traffic control and evacuation until the situation was terminated.

Nonemergency responses

Sept. 25: Security forces responded to a suspicious 911 call in Bldg. 904. Contact was made and no distress was discovered.

Sept. 25: Security forces responded to a verbal altercation in base housing. The first sergeant was contacted and took control.

Sept. 27: Security forces responded to an individual disobeying a direct order from a posted sentry. The individual was released to the member’s commander.

Sept. 27: Security forces responded to a verbal altercation in base housing. The first sergeant was contacted and took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 13 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Base entry lists must be submitted to police services in Bldg. 179 seven days prior to the event for processing.
