Street Beat – October 12, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Sept. 28 through Oct. 4:

Tickets

Security Forces issued citations for three moving and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Sept. 28: Security Forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent at the outbound lane of Lightning Gate. There were no injuries.

Oct. 2: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 1150. There were no injuries.

Oct. 3: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 338. There were no injuries.

Oct. 3: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 343. There were no injuries.

Oct. 3: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg.1368. There were no injuries.

Oct. 4: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Base Exchange parking garage. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Sept. 28: Security forces assisted Luke Fire Department with traffic control for an electrical fire at Bldg. 2202. There were no injuries.

Sept. 29: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency in base housing. Patient was transported to Banner Estrella Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Sept. 28: Security forces responded to a 911 misdial at Bldg. 660. Contact was made with individuals, no distress was identified.

Oct. 2: Security forces responded to a warrant hit for an individual trying to gain access to base. Glendale police arrived and assumed control of the individual.

Oct. 3: Security forces responded to a report of theft of AAFES property at the Base Exchange. Five individuals were detained. Glendale police arrived and assumed control.

Oct. 4: Security forces responded to a warrant hit for an individual trying to gain access to base. Glendale police arrived and assumed control of the individual.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to nine alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

In order to take pictures within the restricted flight line area and avoid investigation by security forces a photo pass must be obtained through the 56th Fighter Wing Military Operations Center. Photography of the flightline from outside the restricted area is not authorized.
