Street Beat – October 19, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Oct. 5 through Oct. 11:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for seven moving and seven nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Oct.10: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Super Sabre Street and Johnson Lane. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Oct. 11: Security forces responded to a medical emergency in base housing. An individual was transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Oct. 5: Security forces responded to a report of possible smoke emanating from the explosive ordnance disposal pit at Bldg. 1040. There were no injuries.

Oct. 6: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. An individual was briefed on base quiet hours.

Oct. 6: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at Bldg. 897. The incident is currently under investigation.

Oct. 7: Security forces responded to a report of an unsecure door in base housing. There was no evidence of breaking and entering.

Oct. 9: Security forces responded to a 911 hang-up in Bldg. 687. No contact could be made as the room was empty. No signs of emergency were found.

Oct. 9: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. An individual was briefed on base quiet hours.

Oct. 10: Security forces responded to a report of damage to government property at Bldg. 404. It was determined that no criminal intent was involved.

Oct. 10: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. An individual was briefed on base quiet hours.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 10 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Adopt the 0-0-1-3 policy when drinking: Zero underage drinking, zero driving under the influence, one drink per hour and no more than three drinks per night.
