Street Beat – October 26, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Oct. 12 through 18:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for three moving and eight nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Oct. 12: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 897. There were no injuries.

Oct. 16: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 820. There were no injuries.

Oct. 17: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 968. There were no injuries.

Oct. 18: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Mohave Circle and Lalomai Street. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Oct. 14: Security forces responded to a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Oct. 15: Security forces responded to a report of a possible suicide attempt in base housing. A patient was transported to West Valley Hospital with no life threatening injuries.

Nonemergency responses

Oct. 12: Security forces responded to a wants and warrants hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. The subject was barred from entering the installation.

Oct. 12: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. The subject was briefed on base quiet hours.

Oct. 13: Security forces responded to a report of an individual shooting a bow and arrow into a garage in base housing. The individual was briefed the activity was not authorized in base housing.

Oct. 14: Security forces responded to a verbal altercation in base housing. Subjects were separated and no further response was required.

Oct. 16: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property. The incident is currently under investigation.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 11 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Avoid getting a ticket or causing an accident by using a hands-free device when talking on a cell phone while driving.
