Chaplain thoughts – November 2

“Heroes never die. They live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who would follow in their footsteps.”

~ Emily Potter

As we approach Veteran’s Day, I want to continue the theme of “heroes.”

What do you do to actively “live” in the footsteps of those we honor as heroes? Are we truly “faithful to a proud heritage, a tradition of honor and a legacy of valor,” (Airmen’s Creed) in living out the footsteps made by people like Billy Mitchell, “Tooey” Spaatz, Robin Olds, Bud Day and, of course, Frank Luke? In whose footsteps do your follow? Or maybe, just maybe, you are making your own footsteps for others to follow in the future!

Blessings from Above…
