Street Beat – November 9, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Oct. 26 to Nov. 1:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 14 moving and two non-moving violations.

Traffic related incidents

Oct. 31: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the BX parking lot. There were no injuries.

Oct. 31: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 291. There were no injuries.

Nov. 1: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident on the flightline. No aircraft were involved. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Oct. 31: Security forces responded to a report of an individual displaying suicidal tendencies who stated they had a weapon at Bldg. 1130. Contact was made and one weapon was recovered and turned over to Glendale police. Glendale police assumed control of the situation. There were no injuries.

Non-emergency responses

Oct. 31: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. Individual was briefed on base quiet hours.

Oct. 31: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police responded and took control of the subject.

Nov. 1: Security forces responded to a report of three individuals acting suspicious in base housing. After arriving on scene, security forces swept the area for the individuals with negative results.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to nine alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week:

Security forces does not maintain a lost and found. They only accept lost items if a security forces member turns in an item, the item is worth more than $300 or if the item is dangerous to the public.
