Commander’s comments: “A1C Rakowski is a leader in the contracting squadron,” said Maj. Quocnam Nguyen, 56th Contracting Squadron commander. “He joined us in 2011 and quickly proved himself as a valued asset. He contributed 13 contracting actions at $200,000 supporting 47 squadrons. He earned a green belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts program and is one of only two Air Force instructors that are now qualified to train. He worked to drastically improve the physical fitness of one of his squadron teammates. He is one of our up and coming stars.”
