Street Beat – December 7, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Nov. 23 through 29:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for five moving and three nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Nov. 24: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the South Gate visitor center parking lot. There were no injuries.

Nov. 27: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the base exchange parking garage. There were no injuries.

Nov. 28: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Bldg. 1150 parking lot. An individual was treated on scene and released.

Nov. 28: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 1365. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

Nov. 26: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police took control.

Nov. 26: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to three alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Kachina Gate has new hours of operation. The gate will be open 6 to 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gate will be closed weekends, federal holidays and school vacation days.
