Security awareness alert

A security information file is a collection of unfavorable information which could call into question an individual’s loyalty, judgment, reliability or trustworthiness to protect classified information. This file is established by an individual’s unit commander and could result in the suspension or revocation of a security clearance. This adversely affects those whose jobs require a security clearance by not being retained in the career field or considered for a future position as a federal employee. For more information, call the unit’s security manager.
