Soccer tryouts

Luke Air Force Base varsity soccer team tryouts for current and new members are 5 p.m. Tuesday at the base track. For more information, call Leon Woodard at (661) 917-4104.

Power lifting competition

A power lifting competition begins with sign-ins at 9:30 a.m. and events at 10 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Bryant fitness Center. Squat, dead-lift and bench-press events are in men’s and women’s categories. Awards will be presented to the first through 3rd-place winners in each weight class and lifting division. Register by today. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Bodybuilding, physique competition

A men’s bodybuilding and women’s physique, figure and bikini competition is Feb. 16 at the Luke Air Force Base fitness center. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Youth center sports

The 56th Force Support Squadron Youth Center is offering a co-ed youth winter basketball camp instructed by Bridget Pettis, Phoenix Mercury assistant coach and retired WNBA player. This is for youth program members, ages 9 to 14 and is $20 per person. The time is 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning Feb 7. For more information, call (623) 856-7470.
