The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following situation from Jan. 11 through 17:
Tickets
Security forces issued citations for 18 moving and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

  • Jan. 14: Security forces responded to a minor vehicle accident in the parking lot adjacent to Fighter Country Inn. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency
responses

  • Jan. 11: Security forces responded to a warrant’s hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. The individual was denied entry and escorted off the installation.
  • Jan. 11: Security forces responded to a report of damage to government property in base housing. The incident is currently under investigation.
  • Jan. 12: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at the base exchange. The damage was accidental and no charges were made.
  • Jan. 13: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in base housing. The individual was briefed on base quiet hours.
  • Jan. 13: Security forces responded to a report of an individual urinating on a park wall. The individual was barred from the installation.
  • Jan. 13: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at Fighter Country Inn. The individual was briefed on base quiet hours.
  • Jan. 14: Security forces responded to a wants and warrants hit at the Lightning Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police took control.

Alarm activations
Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week
Construction will continue at the South Gate Visitor Center until the end of January. During this time the Lightning Gate Visitor Center will be open for all base access needs.
