Street Beat

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Feb.1 through 7:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 12 moving and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Feb. 1: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 966. There were no injuries.

Feb. 1: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident off base. There were no injuries. Glendale police took control.

Feb. 4: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the intersection of Fighter Country Avenue and Super Saber Street. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Dec. 7: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at Subway. An individual was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Dec. 12: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base exchange. An individual was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Feb. 2: Security forces assisted Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop at Lightning Gate. The subject was detained for reckless driving and released to the unit first sergeant.

Feb. 3: Security forces assisted Surprise police with apprehending a subject wanted for a class three felony assault charge. The subject was detained and released to Surprise police.

Feb. 4: Security forces responded to a report of a domestic assault call in base housing. The subject was apprehended and later released to the unit first sergeant.

Feb. 5: Security forces responded to a report of theft of government property. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 6: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 11 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

To avoid investigation by security forces, individuals should obtain a flightline photo pass through the 56th Maintenance Operations Center prior to taking pictures within the restricted area. Photography of the flightline from outside the restricted area is not authorized.
