Justice Report – January 2013

The following is a list of justice and administrative actions for January:

56th Maintenance Group

Article 15s

An airman first class received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, underage drinking. The member received a reduction to E-2, suspended forfeiture of $849 pay per month for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, providing alcohol to a minor. The member received a reduction to E-2, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for wrongful use of a controlled substance, morphine. The member received a reduction to E-3, 20 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, technical order violation. The member received a reduction to E-4 and a reprimand.

Demotions

Two technical sergeants received administrative demotions for failure to keep fit.

56th Mission Support Group

Article 15s

An airman first class received an Article 15 for incapacitation for performance of duties. The member received a reduction to E-2, with a suspended reduction to E-1, suspended forfeiture of $758 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for wrongful use of a controlled substance, marijuana. The member a received a reduction to E-3, with suspended reduction to E-2, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. Administrative demotions are based on the member’s entire military record and ability to overcome their deficiencies. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
