The 56th Security forces Squadron handled the following incidents Feb. 8 through 14:
Tickets
Security forces issued citations for five moving and four nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Feb. 12: Security forces responded to a minor vehicle accident adjacent to the shoppette. There were no injuries.
Feb. 12: Security forces responded to a hit and run on a parked vehicle adjacent to the base gym. Around 8:10 p.m., suspect fled the scene in a gray Saturn Vue with unidentifiable plates. There were no injuries. Witnesses should contact the emergency communication center at (623) 856-5970.
Feb. 13: Security forces responded to a minor vehicle accident adjacent to Bldg. 339. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Feb. 8: Security forces responded to a medical emergency at the base exchange barber shop. A patient was treated on scene and released.

Nonemergency responses

Feb. 8: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at the Fighter Country Inn. Subjects were briefed on base quiet hours.
Feb. 9: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police took control.
Feb. 14: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at Bldg. 179. Subject was detained. The Department of Public Safety said they would not respond. Subject was released to the unit first sergeant.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 15 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

It is illegal to use radar detectors on a military installation. Make sure they are off or unplugged prior to entering the installation.
