MOAA meeting
The Luke Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America meeting is 5 p.m. for social hour and 6 p.m. for dinner March 11 at Club Five Six. Play auditions
The Luke Experience is featuring “Arsenic and Old Lace” at 7 p.m. May 24, 25, 31 and June 1. Auditions for parts will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Luke Air Force Base theater. Viking challenge
The Logistics Officers Association is holding the 3rd Annual Viking Challenge 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 5 at the Luke Air Force Base track. It will be a 10-person running relay with each member running a mile at a time. The entry fee is $100 per team, with the proceeds going to the LOA Airman’s Education Scholarship Fund. MiCARE
Luke Air Force Base outpatient clinic will soon start using MiCARE to communicate with patients assigned to primary care managers through a confidential secure online email messaging service. To register, complete a MiCARE registration form within the next two months. Adults must register in person. For pediatric patients, a parent must complete the registration. Scholarship opportunity
Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications from high school and undergraduate students of military families that reside in BBC base housing until April 15 for the 2013 – 2014 academic year. Luke ALS instructor vacancy
The John J. Rhodes Airman Leadership School is accepting applications for technical sergeant and staff sergeant instructor positions with a report no later than date between Oct. 1 and Feb. 1, 2014. These positions are four-year controlled tours. Mandatory requirements are unit leadership approval, corresponding ranks (selects may apply) from any AFSC and no more than five years time on station (no waivers). Parents of special needs children
A specialized training of military parents two-day workshop is 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. March 11 and 12 at the Luke chapel annex. STOMP provides information about parent rights and responsibilities in achieving special education services for military children whether located in the U.S. or overseas. MilPDS delay
The MilPDS system down date has changed. Upates to the MilPDS system must be completed prior to Monday for those who need to re-enlist, extend or submit retraining requests. Tombstone day trip
