Street Beat – March 22, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following situations March 8 through 14:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 14 moving and six nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

March 11: Security forces responded to a minor vehicle accident on the flightline. No aircraft were affected. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

March 8: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police arrived and took control.

March 8: Security forces assisted Glendale police on issuing an Order of Protection.

March 12: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police arrived and took control of an individual.

March 12: Security forces and firefighters responded to an alarm activation in Bldg. 1150 and evacuated the building. The situation was terminated with negative results.

March 13: Security forces responded to a report of unauthorized photography at Bldg. 497. An individual was briefed on base policies and procedures for flightline photography and all photos were deleted.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 11 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

If an individual is pulled over and does not have physical proof of insurance, Arizona State Law 28-4131 states an individual may show an electronic version as proof. This can save an individual a ticket and a possible six-month revocation of license on base.
