Justice Report – April 12, 2013

The following is a list of Article 15 and administrative actions issued at Luke Air Force Base in March:

56th Maintenance Group

Articles 15

• A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for failure to obey a no-contact order. The member received a reduction to E-4, suspended forfeiture of $1,201 pay per month for two months, 60 days restriction to base and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, failure to obey a technical order. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, failure to complete an assigned task. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, forfeiture of $750 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for drunk driving. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, forfeiture of $1,007 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Demotion

• A staff sergeant received an administrative demotion for failure to keep fit.

56th Medical Group

Demotion

• A staff sergeant received an administrative demotion for failure to fulfill responsibilities, drunk driving.

56th Fighter Wing staff and tenant units

Demotions

• A technical sergeant received an administrative demotion for failure to keep fit.

• A senior airman received an administrative demotion for failure to keep fit.

56th Fighter Wing officer actions

Article 15

• A major received an Article 15 for fraternization. The member received forfeiture of $2,500 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. Administrative demotions are based on the members’ entire military records and ability to overcome their deficiencies. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
