Sports Shorts – April 12, 2013

Iquinna Byrd, 56th LRS, bowls the third frame of the first game against the 56th CS team at the bowling center. Byrd knocked down nine pins on the first bowl, but was unable to pick up the spare.

 

Danielle Sturdivant, 56th CS, bowls the third frame of the first game against the 56th LRS team at Thunderbolt Lanes. Sturdivant knocked down nine pins on the first throw and picked up the spare.

Link Up 2 Golf introductory class is specifically designed for the new golfer. The classes are 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through April 19 or May 7 through 10 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. Registration is required. For more information, call (623) 535-9334.
 
One-pitch softball tournament

A one-pitch softball tournament is 6 to 9 p.m. April 22 through 25 at Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center. The letter-of-intent is due today. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Pitch, hit and run competition

An MLB pitch, hit and run competition for boys and girls ages 7 through 14 is 6 p.m. April 25 at Mark Grace Thunderbolt Ball Field. Register at the 56th Force Support Squadron Youth Center. For more information, call (623) 856-7470.

Rope course

Flagstaff extreme rope course April 27 is a high rope course and zip lines. The cost is $55 per person and includes roundtrip transportation. For more information, call (623) 856-6267.
