21st FS change of command

Lt. Col. Sean Routier will relinquish command of the 21st Fighter Squadron to Lt. Col. Paul Willingham at 3:21 p.m. today in Hangar 408.

CES change of command

Lt. Col. Chad Bondurant will relinquish command of the 56th Civil Engineer Squadron to Lt. Col. Kenneth Herndon at 8 a.m. May 8 in Bldg. 343.

Wing quarterly awards

The 56th Fighter Wing quarterly awards ceremony is 11 a.m. Thursday at Club Five Six. Base members are invited to attend.

Foreclosure settlement payouts

Individuals whose primary residence was in foreclosure between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2010, are covered by a recent payment agreement. Payment will be made by Rust Consulting, Inc., the only agency authorized to act regarding this settlement. Notices were sent to affected individuals March 31. Toastmasters time, place change

The Luke Toastmasters club is moving May 9 to its new location in Room 3126 of Bldg. 1150. The new meeting time is noon to 1 p.m. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to improving communication and leadership skills in a nonthreatening environment. Leaders and personal property

Local commanders and supervisors are required to allow sufficient time off for military members and civilian employees to receive counseling and to arrange for shipment or receipt of personal property shipments. For more information, call the travel management office at (623) 856-6424.
MOAA May meeting

The Luke Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will hold a luau-themed dinner meeting May 6 at Club Five Six. Hawaii native Kaonoi Kim will provide entertainment. Active-duty and retired officers, warrant officers of the five military services, their spouses and guests are invited to attend. Troops to teachers brief

Lifeguard volunteer op

Police week

The 56th Security Forces Squadron is featuring National Police Week opening day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 13 at the Luke Air Force Base commissary.
McGruff the crime-fighting dog, face painting, youth rides in security forces vehicles, K-9 demos, weapons display, water drunk tank and more are included. For more information, call (623) 856-9576.

APAH Month

May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. APAH items will be on display at the Luke Air Force Base Library Wednesday through May 31. A Taste of Asia food event is May 17 at the Community Chapel and a luncheon, open to the Luke Air Force Base community, is 11 a.m. May 23 at the Navy Operational Support Center on Luke. Job fair

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is featuring a job fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 in Club Five Six. More than 60 employers will attend. Admission and resume review is free. Attendees should bring a resume and dress for interviews. For more information, call

Club Five Six events

Mongolian barbecue will be served 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The cost is 65 cents per ounce.

Karaoke is 5 to 8 p.m. May 3 in Harlow’s Lounge. There will also be a DJ and dancing. Admission is free.

A Mother’s Day brunch is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12. The cost is $27.50 per adult, $17.50 for children ages 6 to 10 and under 5 eat free. Club members get a $2 discount. Reservations are required but walk-ins are welcome.For more information, call (623) 856-6446.

Gillespie memorial event

The Luke Petroleum, Oil and Lubrications family is hosting the 2nd Annual Master Sgt. Randy Gillespie Memorial Poker Run beginning at 9 a.m. May 4 at Jimbo’s, 12224 N. 51st Ave., Glendale, (602) 298-1500. Admission is $15 per single rider and $20 per rider with a passenger.
