Golfers get primer on basics

Participants take turns hitting golf balls during the Link Up 2 Golf event April 16 at the Falcon Dunes Golf Course at Luke Air Force Base. The event featured more than eight hours of instruction including all aspects of the golf swing and short game. The next Link Up 2 Golf event will be May 7 through 10 and includes free use of rental clubs and range balls.

Ladies night out

Ladies Night Out is bowling, pizza and pampering 8 p.m. to midnight May 17 at Thunderbolt Lanes. The cost is $15 if paid by May 12 or $20 at the door and includes bowling, shoe rental, DJ Que, prize drawings and more. For more information, call (623) 856-6529.

Thursday night bowling

Bowl 3 to 8 p.m. Thursdays May 16 through Aug. 29 to win prizes at Thunderbolt Lanes in the wheel of fortune promotion. For more information, call (623) 856-6529.

Peach basket classic

The Peach Basket Classic basketball tournament is May 17 through 19 at the Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center. Register and pay fees by May 3. MVP, first and second place, individual, and team trophies will be presented. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

Memorial Day golf tourney

The Memorial Day Tournament is 7:30 a.m. shotgun start May 27 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. The format is four-person scramble and prizes will be awarded. The cost is $30 per club member, $35 per nonmember and $40 per guest, and includes green fees, range balls, cart rental and lunch. For more information, call (623) 535-9334.

Fight night

The UFC Fight Night is May 25 at Club Five Six. Doors open at 5 p.m., preliminary bouts are 7 p.m. and the main event is 9 p.m. For more information, call (623) 856-6446.
