The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents April 12 through 18:

Tickets

  • Security forces issued citations for 15 moving and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

  • April 16: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Lightning Gate. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

  • April 12: Security forces responded to a report of a suspicious package at the post office. The area was evacuated and safety precautions were taken.

Nonemergency responses

  • April 12: Security forces responded to a report of a verbal altercation in base housing. The first sergeant was contacted and took control.
  • April 14: Security forces responded to a report of a vehicle with a gas nozzle attached approaching the Lightning Gate. The nozzle belonged to the shoppette and was returned to the facility.
  • April 15: Security forces responded to a report of a verbal altercation at the Fighter Country Inn. The individual was instructed to leave the premises.
  • April 15: Security forces responded to a report of a gate runner at the South Gate. The individual was detained and briefed on gate entry procedures.
  • April 16: Security forces was notified of a missing government vehicle from vehicle management. The incident is under investigation.
  • April 16: Security forces responded to a report of a report of damage to personal property at Bldg. 485. The incident is under investigation.
  • April 18: Security forces responded to a report of a warrant hit at the South Gate search pit. Glendale police took control.
  • April 18: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at Bldg. 687. The individual was briefed on base quiet hours.

Alarm activations

  • Security forces responded to six alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

One of the best defenses against a drunk driver is to wear a safety belt. Also ensure children or other passengers have safety belts fastened as well.
