Justice Report – May 31, 2013

The following is a list of Article 15 and administrative actions issued at Luke Air Force Base in April:

56th Maintenance Group

Articles 15

• A master sergeant received an Article 15 for assault and indecent language. The member received forfeitures of $2,000 with $1,000 of the forfeitures suspended and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, technical order violation. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, forfeitures of $250 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Demotions

• A senior airman received an administrative demotion for driving under the influence of alcohol.

• An airman first class received an administrative demotion for driving under the influence of alcohol.

56th Mission Support Group

Articles 15

• A first lieutenant received an Article 15 for failure to go. The member received forfeitures of $2,246 pay per month for two months with $1,746 of the forfeitures suspended and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for larceny. The member received reduction to E-3, a suspended reduction to E-2, forfeitures of $222 pay, 30 days restriction to base and 30 days extra duty.

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. Administrative demotions are based on the members’ entire military records and ability to overcome their deficiencies. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke AFB community, the legal office reviews all cases.
