Street Beat – May 31, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents May 17 through 24:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 37 moving and six nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

May 20: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Lighting Gate. There were no injuries.

May 22: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the parking lot of Bldg. 1130. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

May 18: Security forces responded to a report of an unlawful entry onto the installation. The individual was issued an immediate debarment order.

May 18: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control.

May 22: Security forces responded to a shoplifting incident at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control.

May 23: Security forces responded to a wants and warrants hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. A Maricopa County sheriff arrived and took control of the suspect.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Slow down and drive safe. The speed limit when entering and exiting the base is 15 mph. Obey all posted traffic signs and wear a seatbelt.
