This past weekend Nik Wallenda became the first person to cross the Grand Canyon on a wire without a safety tether or net. He had to balance and walk on a two-inch wire stretched across the 1,400 foot canyon. While crossing he constantly prayed to focus his every step.
Life is kind of like Wallenda’s high-wire adventure. When circumstances are so great that you feel as though you are standing on a wire stretched over the Grand Canyon with no safety tether or net, faith is the one sure hope you have. Spiritual resiliency looks beyond self and circumstances to something greater.
