Freedom Fest

The Fourth of July Freedom Fest is 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Fowler Park. Kids splash zone, live music, food and beverages for purchase, and prize drawings are included. A fireworks show will be held at 9 p.m. The Kachina Gate will be open 5:30 to 10:15 p.m.

MOS inactivation

The 56th Maintenance Operations Squadron will inactivate in a ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Monday in Hangar 914.

Changes of command

Det. 1, 56th OG

Lt. Col. Culla Yarborough will relinquish command of Detachment 1, 56th Operations Group to Lt. Col. Erik Anton in a ceremony at 9 a.m. today in the old Officer’s Club, Bldg. 750.

56th LRS

Lt. Col. Erin Cluff will relinquish command of the 56th Logistics Readiness Squadron to Lt. Col. Pat Launey in a ceremony at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Bldg. 291.

56th CMS

Lt. Col. James Blackman will relinquish command of the 56th Component Maintenance Squadron to Maj. David Lemery in a ceremony at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Navy Operational Support Center.

308th FS

Lt. Col. Christopher Colcord will relinquish command of the 308th Fighter Squadron to Lt. Col. Christopher Bacon in a ceremony at 8 a.m. July 11 in Hangar 1022.

56th CPTS

Maj. Jesse Schaefer will relinquish command of the 56th Comptroller Squadron to Maj. Scott Smith in a ceremony at 9 a.m. July 12 in Club Five Six.

Finance office hours change

The finance customer service office will open at 9 a.m. July 11 and at noon July 12 due to an official function. The office will resume normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 15.

Load crew competition

The second quarter load crew competition is scheduled for 8 a.m. July 12 at rows 17 and 18 on the flightline.

Deployed spouses dinner

The deployed spouses and families dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 11 in the Luke Community Chapel, Bldg. 799.

Independence Day fuel savings

Military StarTM card users can save 10 cents per gallon on gas purchased Monday through Thursday at Luke Air Force Base Express. Card users also receive a 5-cent per gallon discount on fuel purchases and a 10-percent discount on Luke AFB Exchange food court purchases year-round. Camp Connect

Camp Connect is a day camp for children within the autism spectrum. The camp is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8 through 12 and 15 through 19 at Wildflower Elementary School. Registration is $250 per one-week session. Fighter Country Partnership is offering to pay the registration for military dependents who qualify. Running clinic

The 56th Force Support Squadron Health and Wellness Center is featuring a running clinic 6 to 7 a.m. July 15 through Aug. 23. For eligibility requirements or for more information, call Senior Airman Lakindra Favors at 623-856-7063.

Summer bowling programs

Thunderbolt Lanes is offering unlimited bowling Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through Aug. 30 to the Luke members below at the following times:

Dorm residents: 3 to 8 p.m. with a one-time charge of $14.95. Shoe rental is $2.25 per adult and $1.75 per youth.

Kids Club, youth enrolled in high school: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shoe rental is $1.75.

Family pass: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a one-time charge of $19.95. Shoe rental is $2.25 per adult and $1.75 per youth.
