Street Beat

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following situations June 14 through 20:

Tickets
Security forces issued citations for 19 moving and eight nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents
June 19: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the commissary parking lot. There were no injuries.

June 19: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident at the perimeter wall along Glendale Avenue. The individuals fled the scene.

Emergency responses
June 14: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control. Medical was dispatched and an individual was transported to a nearby hospital.

Nonemergency responses
June 14: Security forces responded to a report of theft of private property. A subject was apprehended and later released to the first sergeant.

June 14: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control.

June 15: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control.

June 16: Security forces responded to a report of three minors trespassing in Ocotillo Housing. Maricopa County Sheriff’s officers arrived and took control.

June 17: Security forces responded to a report of two wall jumpers near the base exchange. The individuals were pursued and jumped back over the perimeter wall. Maricopa County Sheriff’s officers are investigating with security forces.

June 18: Security forces responded to a report of theft of government property. The incident is under investigation.

June 20: Security forces responded to a report of theft of government property and personal property near the commissary. The incident is under investigation.

Alarm activations
Security forces responded to five alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week
All vehicles on Luke Air Force Base are subject to search by order of the installation commander.
