Street Beat

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following situations June 21 through July 3:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 30 moving and six nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

June 26: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the commissary parking lot. There were no injuries.

July 2: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident at 140th Drive and Eagle Street. There were minor injuries reported and an individual was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Emergency responses

June 21: Security forces and firefighters responded to a medical emergency in base housing.

June 30: Security forces and firefighters responded to a medical emergency in base housing.

Nonemergency responses

June 21: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police took control.

June 24: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Glendale police responded and transported a subject.

June 24: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. Goodyear police responded and transported a subject.

June 25: Security forces responded to a report of a deserter at the South Gate Visitor Center. The subject was released to Fort Huachuca AWOL Apprehension Team.

June 27: Security forces responded to a report of theft of private property. The incident is under investigation.

June 27: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate Visitor Center. No extradition was requested. The subject was denied access to the installation.

July 3: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police arrived and took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 11 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

To avoid traffic congestion at the gates, drivers approaching the gate should have identification out and ready to give to the entry controller.
