Load crews flex muscles in contest

Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooper, 62nd Aircraft Maintenance Unit weapons team chief, directs an MJ1 bomb lift loaded with a GB-12 armament driven by Airman 1st Class Jeremy Gooding, 62nd AMU weapons team, during a load crew competition July 12 at Luke Air Force Base. The objective of the competition is to finish with the fastest time with no safety violations.

Load crew members from the 62nd AMU carry an AIM 9 L/M armament to an F-16 Fighting Falcon during the competition. Each team loaded three different armaments.
