Street Beat – August 9, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents July 26 through Aug. 1:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 33 moving and six nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

July 26: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the waste water treatment plant. There were no injuries.

July 26: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the intersection of Jerstad Lane and 139th Drive. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

July 31: Security forces responded to a report of damage to government property at Bldg. 495. The incident was not criminal in nature.

Aug. 1: Security forces responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant at the fire department. The subject was detained. Glendale police took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Make sure children know how to call 911 or “0” in emergencies using a public phone. Help them practice making emergency phone calls. Be sure emergency numbers, such as police, fire, poison control and emergency medical, are by all phones.
