Street Beat – August 16, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following situations Aug. 2 through 8:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 16 moving and five nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Aug. 8: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the intersection of Super Sabre Street and Johnson Lane. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

Aug. 2: Security forces responded to a report of theft of personal property at Bldg. 404. The incident is under investigation.

Aug. 6: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at the base exchange. Glendale police responded and took control.

Aug. 7: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at the shoppette. There was no criminal intent.

Aug. 8: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at the commissary. There was no criminal intent.

Aug. 8: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at the South Gate. Surprise police arrived and took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to eight alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

School has begun, so remember when driving behind a school bus, cars must stop when the bus is picking up and dropping off children. Obey posted speed limits and have situational awareness.
