Client Systems Technician

TBOTW-Thompson-1
Hometown: Martin, Tenn.

Years in service: Three

technology

Inspirations: My son inspires me to be a better person; my grandmother’s faith in me

Goals: To become a nurse

Greatest feat: Graduating high school a year early with honors as a single parent of a 2-year-old

Famous last words: “Don’t forget the booster club meeting, y’all!”

Off-duty interests: My church and volunteering

Commander’s comments: “Senior Airman Thompson maintains a ‘can-do’ attitude,” said Maj. Raymond Chester, 56th CS commander. “There’s a saying, ‘every challenge is an opportunity.’ She only sees opportunities. As the booster club president, she goes all-out to make the CS a fun place to work where CommBats are proud to serve. She’s an outstanding client systems technician. She resolved more than 30 BlackBerry e-mail issues. I’ve received notes from squadron commanders who she has helped. She’s raising a family and on top of it all, completed requirements for a degree. She is ‘all in’ … the benchmark Airman.”
