Free club membership

Contemporary gospel 40th anniversary

The 40th anniversary celebration of the contemporary gospel service at Luke Air Force Base Chapel is 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Luke Community Chapel sanctuary with a meal immediately following. LEAD Council Block Party

The LEAD Council is featuring a block party at 3 p.m. today at Fowler Park. The party is open to 56th Fighter Wing members, friends and family and includes free food and drinks, individual and team competitions, and prizes.

Honor Guard scheduler opening

The Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard is accepting applications for a six-month scheduler tour for a senior airman or staff sergeant from any specialty code with a report no later than date of Nov. 1. Requirements include unit leadership approval. The application deadline is Oct. 14 with details available upon request. For more information, call Master Sgt. Keith Cooper at 623-856-7800.

Health expo/golf/car show

The 56th Medical Group is featuring a health expo, golf tournament and car show Nov. 1. The 56th MDG Family Health Expo and Tune Up for Health car show are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Club Five Six. For more information, call Capt. Sara Cossette at 623-856-9394 or Michelle Hoyt at 623-856-9784. The MDG 2nd Annual Golf Tournament is 11:30 a.m. at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $50 per person and includes cart, range balls and lunch. There will be prizes and contests. Retiree Appreciation Day

The 56th Fighter Wing Retiree Appreciation Day is 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 2 at Club Five Six. Health education booths, flu shots, Veterans Affairs and state information, refreshments, prizes and grab bags are included. For more information, call Capt. Melissa Parra at 623-856-9045.
