Street Beat – October 18, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Oct. 5 through Oct. 10:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 14 moving and one nonmoving violations.

Emergency responses

Oct. 7: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency located at Bldg. 179. The patient was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Oct. 10: Security forces responded to a medical emergency involving an individual located at Bldg. 859 parking lot waving down police. The individual claimed to be bleeding internally due to a recent medical procedure. The individual was transported to West Valley Hospital via Southwest Ambulance.

Nonemergency responses

Oct. 5: Security forces responded to a noise complaint on Salado Road in Ocotillo housing.

Oct. 8: Security forces responded to a report of a possible gas leak in Bldg. 988. A cordon was established to prevent entry into the facility.

Oct. 8: Security forces responded to a report of an unconscious individual located on Litchfield Road and Glendale Avenue. Glendale police arrived and took.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

When dealing with Airmen in distress use the acronym PRESS. Prepare- connect with your people. Recognize – identify personnel in distress. Engage – intervene with distressed Airmen. Send – refer personnel to appropriate helping agency. Sustain – follow up regularly until the problem is resolved.
