Street Beat – November 15, 2013

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Nov. 3 through Nov. 9:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 18 moving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Nov. 7: Security forces responded to a report of a minor traffic accident involving a government-owned vehicle and a privately owned vehicle located at Bldg. 586. One individual was pulling out of a parking spot and collided with the other vehicle. There were no injuries.

Emergency responses

Nov. 8: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The member was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Nov. 6: Security forces responded to a report of a domestic disturbance/assault in housing. Upon arrival, security forces patrols made contact with individuals who said they argued over the cleanliness of the house, which led to a physical altercation. Emergency medical personnel arrived to evaluate injuries. Security forces made proper notifications and Glendale police took control.

Nov. 7: Security forces responded to a report of damage to government property. An individual was conducting an aircraft engine run on the flightline and noticed the engine exhaust had blown two 370-gallon wing fuel tanks off their dollies.

Nov.7: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at Lakota Drive in Ocotillo housing. The individual was briefed on base quiet hours and the individual’s first sergeant was notified.

Nov. 8: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at Sioux Circle in Saguaro housing. The individual was briefed about base quiet hours and the individual’s first sergeant was notified.

Nov. 9: Security forces responded to a warrant hit for fraud, impersonation and driving under the influence at Lightning Gate. The Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office arrived on scene and assumed control of the situation.

Nov. 9: Security forces responded to a noise complaint at Salado Road in Ocotillo housing. The individual was briefed on base quiet hours and the individual’s first sergeant was notified.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to 10 alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Adhere to all customs and courtesies. While on the installation and in a vehicle during reveille or retreat, pull to the side of the road and stop. All occupants should sit quietly at attention until the last note of the music has played.
