‘Hot’ times had at Campout

Tech. Sgt. Jason Phillip, 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Armament Flight assistant NCO in charge, feeds a s’more to his daughter, Brielle, 2, while sitting at one of the fire pots made available to campers for roasting marshmallows. The next family campout is scheduled for mid-April 2014.

Campers roast marshmallows at the campout. The Outdoor Recreation staff distributed graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows for campers to make their own s’mores.

The sun rises over the tents Saturday at Fowler Park during the biannual Luke Air Force Base Outdoor Recreation Family Campout. Some brought their own tents and gear while others rented tent packages from outdoor recreation for $15. The free event included dinner, campfires with s’mores, movies under the stars, and breakfast for participants.
