The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Nov. 10 through 16:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for two moving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Nov. 12: Security forces responded to a report of a report of a minor traffic accident involving a government-owned vehicle and a fixed object at Bldg. 1240. An individual backed into a boulder. There were no injuries
Nov. 12: A civil arrest was made on a military member for driving under the influence at Sundance Parkway and Yuma Road.
Nov. 13: Security forces responded to a report of a minor traffic accident involving a GOV and a fixed object at the Bldg. 302 parking lot. The individual was turning left and collided with the wall. There were no injuries
Nov. 14: Security forces responded to a report of a minor traffic accident involving two GOVs in Scottsdale. The individual reported being in a six-vehicle convoy enroute to the Marriot in Paradise Valley when the traffic ahead came to an immediate halt resulting in a rear-end collision. There were no injuries. There was minor damage to both vehicles.

Emergency responses

Nov. 15: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at the commissary. The patient was transported to West Valley Hospital.

Nonemergency responses

Nov. 11: Security forces responded to a report of an unsecured door in Bldg. 1130, conducted a walk of the exterior of the building but saw no signs of forced entry. CE personnel responded and determined the door locks were on an automatic system that unlocks all the doors.
Nov. 13: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property next to Bldg. 1130.
Nov. 14: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property in the Exchange parking garage.
Nov. 15: Security forces responded to a report of disorderly conduct inside Starbucks in Bldg. 1540. An employee was verbally threatened was concerned for the safety of customers. Glendale police arrived and cited the individual.
Nov. 15: Security forces responded to a report of a missing person in the commissary.
Nov. 15: Security forces responded to a report of a wall jumper adjacent to the power substation on 139th Drive. Security forces apprehended the individual who was transported SFS.
Nov. 16: Security forces responded to a report of an unsecured door in Bldg. 318. The custodian terminated the response.
Nov. 16: Security forces responded to two reports of shoplifting in the Exchange. Glendale police took control.
Nov. 16: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting in the Exchange by two individuals One individual tried to conceal items in clothing. The other was holding a concealed item, refused to reveal what it was and attempted to swallow the item. Security forces used compliance techniques to seize the plastic packet, which contained an unidentified tar-like substance. Both individuals were issued an immediate debarment order for a period of two years. Glendale police took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to nine alarm activations on base.
