Winter games bring out unusual events

Participants made ten full clockwise rotations before running to first base. The games were Dec. 9 through 13 and included a variety of events.

Youth winter basketball

The youth winter basketball training clinic is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for eight weeks starting Jan. 7 at the Luke Air Force Base Youth Center. The clinic is open to boys and girls, ages 7 to 12, who are youth program members. The cost is $20 per youth and includes a T-shirt. Register by Dec. 27. For more information, call 623-856-7470.

Snowfest tour

The snowfest tour to Keystone, Colo., is Jan. 24 through 27. The cost per single Airman is $190. Others pay $600 per person. Transportation, ski/snowboard rental and lift ticket are included. Register at outdoor recreation by Jan. 10. For more information, call 623-856-6267.

Red eye open

The red eye open golf tournament is 8 a.m. Jan. 1 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. The cost includes continental breakfast, green fees, range balls, cart rental, lunch and prizes. Registration deadline is Dec. 27. For more information, call 623-535-9334.

 

Holiday jingler tourney

The holiday jingler golf tournament is 8 a.m. Dec. 22 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. The format is four-player scramble. The cost is $47 per club member, $52 per nonmember and $57 per guest, and includes green fees, range balls, cart rental, lunch and prizes. Register by Wednesday.
