Sixteen Luke Airmen were recognized Saturday during the 56th Fighter Wing annual awards ceremony at the Renaissance Hotel.
The event highlighted the achievements of Luke Airmen who were selected as the group-level award winners. Only the best of the best were able to even compete at the wing level.
Before the winners were announced, Lt. Gen. Tod Wolters, 12th Air Force commander, discussed the successes of Airmen past and present. By reflecting on these Airmen and their achievements, the general encouraged the annual award nominees to be difference makers.
This year’s award winners will now compete with other Air Education and Training Command bases, and those winners will compete at Air Force level.
