Justice Report

The following is a list of justice and administrative actions issued at Luke air Force Base for January and February:

56th Maintenance Group

Courts-martial

A staff sergeant was found not guilty of aggravated sexual assault.

Articles 15

An airman received an Article 15 for damaging government property valued at more than $500 and being drunk and disorderly on station. The member received 14 days restriction, five days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman received an Article 15 for underage drinking. The member received a suspended reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $160 pay per month for two months, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for failure to go to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed. The member received a suspended forfeiture of $500 pay, 20 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for two wrongful uses of a controlled substance. The member received a reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

A technical sergeant received an Article 15 for failure to go to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed on multiple occasions. The member received a reduction to staff sergeant and a reprimand. The same member then received a second Article 15 for sleeping while on duty and failure to go to the appointed place of duty at the time prescribed. The member received a suspended reduction to senior airman, suspended forfeiture of $300 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

56th Operations Group

Articles 15

An airman first class received an Article 15 for committing adultery and failing to obey a no-contact order. The member received a suspended reduction to airman, forfeiture of $858 pay per month for two months, 60 days restriction, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for failing to pay a debt. The member received a suspended reduction airman first class, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for being absent without leave for less than three days, making a false official statement and wrongful use of a controlled substance. The member received a reduction to the rank of senior airman, forfeiture of $1,201 pay per month for two months, 45 days restriction suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

56th Medical Group

Article 15s

An airman first class received an Article 15 for dereliction of duties given while a co-worker was on leave. The member received a suspended reduction to the rank of airman, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.

56th Mission Support Group

Courts-martial

A senior airman was found guilty of wrongful use of a controlled substance. The member received a reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $450 pay per month for three months, hard labor without confinement for three months and two months restriction.

Article 15s

An airman first class received an Article 15 for underage drinking. The member received a reduction to airman, suspended forfeiture of $858 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for extortion. The member received a suspended reduction to airman conditioned on attending a conflict resolution class, forfeiture of $715 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Article 15 and court-martial punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
