Fitness center activities

Extramural one-pitch softball tourney is April 21 through 24. Submit a letter of intent by April 11. Games are 6, 7 and 8 p.m. at the fitness center softball fields 2 and 3. A mandatory coaches meeting is 4 p.m. April 17.

Intramural softball season begins April 28. Submit a letter of intent by April 11. Games are 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the fitness center softball fields 2 and 3. A mandatory coaches meeting is 3:30 p.m. April 18.

May Fitness Month is featuring a 3-on-3 sand volleyball tournament May 5 through 8. Submit a letter of intent by April 25. A mandatory coaches meeting is 2 p.m. May 1. Matches are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Balfour Beatty Community Center Sand Volleyball Court.

Completed letters of intent must be delivered to the fitness center or emailed to Jemia Fournier-Allen, address on the global. A representative or the coach is required to attend.

Phoenix to Flagstaff

The Phoenix to Flagstaff competition is to see who will get from Phoenix to Humphrey’s Peak first by performing cardiovascular activity. The activity is recorded and converted to feet in elevation. Those to reach the peak first, win prizes. The contest is April 1 through 30. Registration is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday in Bldg. 700. For more information, call 623-856-7531.

Shoot-out golf tourney

The 33rd Annual Luke Shoot-Out golf tournament is April 4 at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. Registration is 6:30 a.m. and shotgun start is 7:30 a.m. For more information, call Harry Shapiro at 623-937-4754 or email hshapiro@glendaleazchamber.org.
